The Senior Platform Engineer will take the lead in building the foundation for modern business applications in the company. In this role, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of modern infrastructure and cloud software engineering practices to build, secure and maintain the core capabilities used by our data and application teams to drive business value. You will also coach and mentor junior engineers to deliver highly scalable and resilient systems using infrastructure as code across our data centers and cloud environments. In this role, you will be the platform engineer for a portfolio of messaging-based applications, specifically Pulsar/Solace, aligned to the center lead Global IT Technical Services Domain with responsibility for the activities ensuring the interoperability, scalability, reliability, and availability as well as management of lifecycle, costs, and risks for the applications in their portfolio.
Key AccountabilitiesBuild the platforms, systems and infrastructure using in depth knowledge of software development and infrastructure as code practices.
Take the lead to design, develop, test, deploy, support and enhance the complex and varied automated infrastructure and platform components.
Take the lead to drive large efforts, stories and tasks to completion.
Participate in the engineering community to maintain and share relevant technical approaches and modern skills and present best code practices.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in eng or 7 years of related work experience
10+ years relevant business or IT exp in service delivery roles
Deep technical & functional knowledge of Pulsar, Solace, Kafka, AWS, Go programming & Ansible scripting.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Tibco or other Message/streaming technologies is a plus.
Experience implementing automation capabilities & knowledge of DevOps methodologies and best practices
