Senior Program Manager, Technical Planning – MONARCH Platform Delivery
Position Summary
Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting a Senior Program Manager, Technical Planning for MONARCH Platform Delivery within our Robotics & Digital Solutions (RAD) organization. This position may be based in Redwood City, CA or Santa Clara, CA.
This role serves as a key partner to the cross-functional MONARCH Leadership Team to ensure alignment, accountability and focus needed for effective execution of critical platform development projects. This role will report to the Head of Platform Delivery, MONARCH. This individual will be responsible for leading in the planning of all high priority cross-functional programs and driving select development projects across the MONARCH organization in-line with the committed scope, timeline and budget. This role requires strong collaboration skills and partnership with R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Product Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance.
**Major Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Owns project planning for all MONARCH platform development efforts, with responsibility for ensuring cross-functional alignment and communication.
+ Builds efficient, feasible and strategically aligned plans to enable execution and improved efficiency across the full Product Roadmap.
+ Defines and executes process for refining the MONARCH project backlog to align with the Product Roadmap and Platform Delivery objectives in partnership with GSM, Product Marketing, and Finance.
+ Collaborates with R&D, GSM, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Service, and other cross-functional partners to ensure all business needs are captured and evaluated to facilitate definition and kick-off of Monarch programs.
+ Shapes and drives critical initiatives to improve MONARCH's planning and operational excellence, inclusive of leading cross-functional resource planning and actuals tracking efforts.
+ Develops knowledge of technical platforms in other parts of Johnson & Johnson and establishes relationships with key groups that have strategic alignment and finds opportunities to partner or leverage resources.
+ Defines / refines MONARCH backlog and active program operational metrics. Responsible for consolidation and dissemination of reports for senior management and cross-functional partners.
+ Ensures alignment throughout the planning process across key platform initiatives, goals, strategies through shared G&O’s and reporting of progress against those to the organization.
+ Monitors and supervises action items and plans to ensure rapid follow-through and progress against commitments.
+ The role is accountable for securing trade-off decisions to manage the triple constraint (time, scope, resources) to align business need with organizational capacity.
+ Collaborates with Platform Delivery Heads to champion team efficiency, driving a culture of empowerment, urgency, accountability, achievement, and decision making. The role ensures an environment of collaboration to enable open/safe challenges and risk discussions.
+ Champions partnership, diversity, and inclusion within the team, between teams and other groups.
+ The role builds and champions a hard-working team culture and continuous integration. The role encourages and provides team member motivation and recognition.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 6+ years of relevant experience required.
+ Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
+ 4+ years of direct or indirect program/project management experience required.
+ 4+ years of people management experience (inclusive of direct/indirect reports) required.
+ Proven success shaping and influencing across a matrix environment to drive strategic execution and operational excellence required.
+ Proven success managing ambiguity and effective management of key issues and risks required.
+ Experience with using and/or administering project management software required.
+ Experience in both agile SW and HW product development required.
+ Strong technical expertise and business insight within the areas of Strategy, R&D, Supply Chain and Program Management highly preferred.
+ An advanced Degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
+ PMP Certification is desirable.
+ Medical device experience with Class II, III in capital equipment development preferred.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 137000 to 235750. California Bay Area - The anticipated base pay range for this position is 168000 to 271400.
