SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force. Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.
Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.
The Joint and Marine Corps Analysis Group (JMC) provides timely and objective assessments to the joint warfare community. These assessments integrate the technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business aspects across the various elements of defense department policy planning, capability development, warfare analysis and systems acquisition processes. The Office of the Commandant Strategic Action Group support program’s mission is to support the identification, development, and demonstration of forward looking concepts encompassing multi-domain technologies to satisfy Multi-Service and Combatant Commands’ (COCOMs) priorities.
ResponsibilitiesWorks within USMC Combat Development and Integration (CD&I) G3/5/7 in order to implement processes to integrate higher headquarters and adjacent guidance into the force development process, serve as the lead analyst with higher headquarters and adjacent organizations to integrate Service Force Development Campaing of Learning activities, or serve as the lead analyst for the CD&I Campaign Plan and Service Force Development Campaign of Learning Activities. Analyzes and develops programs and plans of a military or governmental system to obtain a quantitative and/or qualitative, rational basis for: decision making, further program development, and integration of activities. Utilizes military warfare, military operations analysis, political military situations and military organization knowledge in determining solutions. May draw from military experience, but is a subject matter expert in organizational G3/5/7 operations that provides integral support in the problem definition, requirements determination, conceptualization, and quality assurance of decision support system applications. Possesses the ability to develop and provide operationally relevant scenarios to be used in modeling and simulation and can communicate the modeling methodology and results into useable output products.
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor’s degree.20+ years of relevant military experience or government service and knowledge of National Defense Strategy and service-level operating concepts for the Marine Corps.Expert military operator with experience developing concepts of operations, especially those involving USMC ground forces.Operational Marine Corps experience in or with S3/5 or G3/5/7 departments.Experience leading programs or projects; responsible for people, task and financial management.Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
