Senior Portfolio Analyst

As a Senior Portfolio Analyst, you’ll join the Portfolio Planning and Optimization team responsible for optimizing investment in technology and improving ROI. You’ll specifically focus on ensuring our portfolio planning and data model has high integrity and performance, and you’ll help ensure it’s understood across by stakeholders. You and the Portfolio Planning Data Lead will collaborate with key stakeholders to execute portfolio planning data collection, processing, analysis and output. You’ll continually supporting and operationalizing portfolio planning data tools.
This role is hybrid which means you will work some days onsite at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
For this role, you must be located within a drivable distance to our office in Richfield, Minnesota.
What you’ll do
Extract, clean and transform data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets and internal systemsMaintain and enhance the current set of portfolio planning tools with a focus on simplicity, usability and impactIdentify, collect, and document process improvement opportunities and work to implement themDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI and similar platformsAutomate data collection and analysis processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiencyCreate additional documentation for portfolio planning data including placemats, templates, guidelines, FAQs, etc.
Basic qualifications
1 or more years of professional experience related to the role in portfolio management, planning or related areasAdvanced level of expertise in Microsoft Excel to include v-lookups, pivot tables and formulasAdvanced level of expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to create and/or update slides and presentations to be utilized by stakeholders and leadersAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentSupport the India expansion project and modeling, including cross-functional collaboration
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, IT, computer science, engineering, communications or related field1 or more years of experience in portfolio management to include planning, vendor payments, stakeholder presentations, etc.1 or more years managing complex IT programs, portfolio financials, resource allocations and/or P&L or budget management experienceExposure to Planview, Power BI, Confluence/Wiki, or Sharepoint, Jira
