Senior Pre - Sales Technical Consultant / Solutions Architect

THE ROLE

Business Solutions Group (BSG) at Temenos is integral part of our business. We champion and offer the best suite of banking software as a service solutions, products, and services, acting as trusted advisors to help Financial Institutions (FIs) accelerate their modernization and transformation objectives. We seek highly skilled, enthusiastic, and experienced sales engineer to join our elite group. In this role, you need to have knowledge of financial technology, experience in positioning SaaS solutions and apply problem-solving skills to offer the best-fit solution mix to prospects/ clients in the North American market.

OPPORTUNITIES

Technical Expertise:

Develop a deep understanding of Temenos solutions and SaaS services and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert in discussions with clients, demonstrating how our solution’s technology can address their specific challenges and needs.

Pre-Sales Support:

Collaborate with the Lead BSG and sales team to qualify leads, understand FIs requirements, and take end-to-end accountability of a bid for - technological aspects of the solution.
Contribute to technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and capabilities of our solutions.
Contribute compelling proposals and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and RFPs (Request for Proposals).
Contribute and help managing demo envrionments for the the region
Set up the core solutions (typically for demonstrations) and support the Sandbox activities with the client

Client Engagement:

Clearly articulate the value Temenos products bring to an organization.
Build and maintain strong client relationships (from C-Level to Enterprise Architects), serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
Gather client feedback and insights to inform product development and enhancements.

Technical Documentation:

Create and maintain quality technical documentation including solution architecture diagrams, and use of BSG tools for internal updates.
Training & Collaboration
Offer post-sales technical support as needed to ensure client success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, services, support, marketing, client engagement, bid management, and partners, to align sales strategies with company goals.
Provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements.

SKILLS

Banking industry knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of our core processing systems, i.e., Transact and Payments Hub with prior experience in developing/ delivering our solution for North America.
5+ years of relevant experience in the Banking/ Fintech Industry
Understanding of US banking financial technology landscape – in-house applications, ASP & SaaS solutions, ancillary and downstream systems
Appetite to work across different financial institutions & understand their requirements – large & mid-sized traditional banks, challenger banks & non-banking financial institutions
Knowledge of the banking and financial industry trends in technical innovation

SaaS & Application Architecture:

Hands on knowledge of Temenos Transact and Temenos Payments Hub is a huge differentiator.
Understanding of SaaS positioning, deployment architectures, SLAs, Security, SOC Compliance, Observability, DevOps, and upgrades.
Knowledge of application architecture & integration patterns, and deep understanding of core processing systems such as core banking, and payments. 
Entry-level certification in Azure or AWS is a good-to-have.

Pre-Sales Skills:

Good listening & story-telling skills through various mediums such as whiteboarding & MS Office Tools.
Ability to research and understand the needs of a prospect’s business, ecosystem, competition and business & technology drivers.
Analytical thinking with consultative mind set to create best-fit solution.
Excellent presentation, writing and deal management skills across all levels of leadership.
Business acumen to position the right solution components for the given solution

Travel & Other Requirements:

Ability and willingness to travel domestic and international as required (up to 50% travel). Works well in an independent as well as team environment with effective communication with peers. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be hands-on with the latest product enhancements.
