Senior Pricing Actuary, Financial Lines

CEMENA is the largest region of CHUBB European Group (CEG) and writes business in the major countries across Continental Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. This is a highly visible actuarial pricing role, leading the effort of partnering CEMENA Financial Lines & Cyber underwriters in writing risks across the region and assisting the Heads of product in executing their key priorities and strategic projects.
The role would ideally be based in London where you will have direct interaction with the rest of the EMEA Financial Lines & Cyber Pricing team, as well as the wider EMEA P&C Pricing community, however exceptional candidates based in Paris may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the key Actuarial Partner to CEMENA Financial Lines & Cyber underwriters in assessing portfolio performance and formulating strategies to improve underwriting performance. Portfolio management and risk selection through the application of technical models. Responsible for the completion of CEMENA Financial Lines portfolio reviews, planning, budgeting and forecasting. Responsible for the development and calibration of exposure and experience rating tools/ engines, in support of benchmark rating/ case pricing of risks/binders. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Chubb Overseas General / underwriters) to ensure tool kits are fit for purpose. Lead the effort in monitoring and communicating key portfolio trend/ statistics/ insights to underwriters and senior management, including but not limited to quarterly performance updates, renewal rate change monitoring, new business adequacy, inflation impact etc. Support reinsurance submissions, both external and internal.Required skills & Experience:
Highly motivated, great teammate, able to deal with different professional backgrounds and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.Experienced in case pricing and portfolio management activities.Loss Modelling and Statistical Analysis skills.Commercial insurance and catastrophe risk knowledge.Strong communicator who can articulate complex messages to a broad range of audiences in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and written; proficiency in English required.Strong systems / software/ data management skills, and ability to learn new software on own initiative.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) is a must. Knowledge of R is highly desirable. Dataiku, VBA, ResQ, Radar, and Python experience would all be beneficial too. Professional actuarial qualification or have made substantial progress to being qualified.
