Position Overview

The Senior Pricing Analyst role is vital member of the Pricing Strategy team, delivering insights, formulating strategies, making recommendations, and executing tactics to help shape Shaw’s pricing performance. This role encompasses the formulation, communication, and execution of an integrated, multi-brand pricing strategy, leveraging real-time assessment of market dynamics, and leading the advancement of data-driven price and profitability decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee the full cycle of advanced strategic pricing activities, including the formulation of strategies, execution of tactics, determination of pricing, oversight of processes, and management of tools, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

Contribute to the strategic pricing infrastructure by updating and refining pricing methodologies, data analytics models, tools, and procedures.

Direct strategic pricing elements in Agreement processes for major cross-functional customers, considering market trends and principles of value-based pricing.

Provide complex analyses, plan and strategically communicate to educate and persuade stakeholders about market trends, economic value assessments, and pricing strategies.

Conduct regular pricing competitive benchmarking and develop a process to make regular updates using pricing systems.

Facilitate change management efforts within the organization as it transitions to a culture centered on value-based pricing.

Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

Senior Pricing Analyst is tasked with fostering the ongoing advancement and execution of detailed pricing strategies that reflect our corporate aims and market realities.

You will spearhead the development and implementation of pricing strategies, manage pricing agreements for major customers, offer insights on pricing data and tools, and drive the shift towards value-based and market-driven pricing frameworks.

You will support end-to-end strategic pricing operations, including strategy creation, pricing determination, price governance, process control, and tool management, in line with our business strategy.

You will nurture the foundation of strategic pricing by enhancing pricing science, data models, tools, visualizations, and processes.

You will develop pricing governance reporting, strategy, training, and auditing to ensure compliance with corporate and brand strategy/guardrails.

You will guide the strategic pricing discussions in large-scale customer agreements, ensuring considerations of market dynamics and value-based pricing.

You will inform and influence stakeholders regarding market trends, value assessments, and pricing strategies through detailed analysis, planning, and strategic discussions.

As a key user of pricing tools, you will manage price adjustments using software like Vendavo, PROS, or Zilliant.

You will conduct regular competitive pricing analysis and develop a process to identify competitive differentiators and prices.

You will support change management projects as the company moves towards a value-based pricing model.

Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

At least four years of experience in pricing, finance, or a similar area.

Demonstrated ability to find opportunities for profit optimization through pricing strategies.

Proficiency in data analysis tools.

Willing to travel to Dalton, GA as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a related field.

Knowledge in trade promotion, retail performance, and profitability analytics.

Experience managing multiple, complex data sources.

Familiarity with pricing software, such as Vendavo, PROS, or Zilliant.

Proficiency with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Knowledge of coding languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.).

PPS Certification (or in process)

Based in Dalton, GA, or willing to relocate.

Work Shift:

8-hour non-rotating shift, hours fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
