We’re looking for experts with deep knowledge and experience of delivering Retail Price Optimisation models and you will have the opportunity to own the building of the pricing models from inception and their ongoing development. Working collaboratively with our Analytics, Commercial and PCW teams you will be a key member of the team driving the success of either our Motor or Home products.

Key responsibilities
As the Senior Pricing Manager, you will leverage data analysis to build price optimization models that deliver target volumes and profitability while guaranteeing customer value.
You will monitor the performance of your models through a set of pricing dashboards and provide actionable insight to empower the further refinement and improvements.
What will you be doing?
Guiding the development and implementation of pricing strategies for Motor or Home.
Developing in-depth knowledge of the Motor or Home market.
Manage the development and maintenance of models that allow for accurate optimization across specified time horizons.
Specify reporting that will enable careful monitoring of the business and its performance in the market.
Accountable for monitoring pricing performance to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and responding as needed.
Be responsible for developing the Pricing Analyst, both on technical skills and business knowledge.
Accountable for maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Managing the specification of monitoring and controls that will ensure continued compliance with all relevant regulations
Providing a range of pricing options for consideration to Pricing Lead with suggested recommendations, with a particular focus on generating insights and value from our proprietary retail data.
Deputise for the Pricing Lead as required.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Suitable numerate degree or equivalent experience
Experience of Motor or Home retail pricing
Experience using Earnix Price-It or another similar solution (e.g. Willis towers Watson, Radar).
Experience of the end-to-end pricing process including data ingestion, model building, project building, model monitoring, price optimisation, price implementation and monitoring.
Good knowledge of general insurance principles, products, and practices
Experience building predictive models for general insurance
Good knowledge of relevant regulations especially GIPP and Consumer Duty
Good business judgement; an ability to solve complex issues with pragmatic solutions.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Machine learning/Data science experience.
Experience with CDL strata, kingfisher, hummingbird, Goldfinch and RTP.
