Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Engineer to join our Marketing Engineering Team in a hybrid/remote role. You'll lead the development of a modern marketing technology stack, driving personalized experiences that fuel Autodesk's hypergrowth in the AI era. We're looking for an expert in data architecture, operations, and modeling, with strong experience in integrating advertising platforms and ecosystems, including DSPs, DMPs, Ad-Servers, Ad Hubs, and CDPs. Proficiency in Marketing Automation platforms like Marketo, and a deep understanding of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs),AWS, Snowflake are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct system discovery and integrate data from CDP, CRM, licensing platforms, and analytics tools.Design and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Airflow.Leverage AWS services (S3, EMR, Lambda, CloudFormation) to build scalable solutions.Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions using Snowflake Write optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries within the Snowflake environmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative marketing technologies.Develop and govern technology strategies and architectures for Martech initiatives.Lead the design of marketing automation solutions and data models for personalized customer experiences.Transform the technology stack for enhanced experimentation real-time, cross-platform personalization, and journeyImplement marketing automation tools to streamline processes and ensure engineering excellence.Bring applications expertise with a business perspective and drive application solution outcomes in collaboration with the Architecture team.Be proactive and a self-starter. Learn and understand the processes and applications/tools as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in Data Engineering - MartechHands-on experience with Snowflake, including Streams, Jobs, and cloud data warehouse implementation.Solid understanding of core marketing processes, including planning, budgeting, marketing automation, content management, and marketing analytics/measurement.Familiarity with key concepts such as audience segmentation, customer journeys, and data enrichment mechanisms is essential. Experience with AdTech and ABM is highly preferred.Deep knowledge of Anonymous digital identities for the purposes of audience segmentation and analytics & attribution is required.Expertise with marketing tools such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Ads API, Ads Data Hub and Adobe Campaign.Knowledge of associated applications such as 6Sense, AIQ, Allocadia, Airtable, etc., is highly preferred.Strong skills in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and AWS services (S3, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, CloudFormation).Experience in Digital Advertising, AdTech, and managing Email/SMS Marketing Campaigns.Experience working with APIs to pull and push dataExperience optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets. Proven ability in solutions architecture, cloud data models, and enterprise data management.Proficiency in Python, Java, Pyspark, Airflow, and familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies.Strong collaborative skills with a results-oriented mindset.Experience working with Product Management in a triad as a Tech Lead is preferred.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,800 and $260,150. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
