Senior Principal Functional Analyst/Specialist

Our work depends on a Senior Principal Functional Analyst/Specialist joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.

HOW A SENIOR PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL ANALYST/SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

•    Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs
•    Researches current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposes changes and tailoring where needed
•    Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements
•    Ensures technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives
•    Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies
•    Prepares and presents test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings
•    Identifies customer requirements, analyzes alternatives, and conducts product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations
•    Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives
•    May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
•    May serve as a team or task lead
•    Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in solutions architecture

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


•     Education: Master's Degree (Substitutions will be based on additional years of experience)


•    Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience 


•    Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in Solution Architecture, Software Development, Systems Engineering, Application Development, Technical Documentation 


•    Security Clearance Level:

U.S. Citizenship RequiredPossess Q or TS level clearance (or their equivalency) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearanceMust be eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance as a condition of employment


•    Required Skills and Abilities: Proficient Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, and Teamwork.


•    Location: On-site in Germantown, MD
