You will support the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance System (C4ISR) business areas. These roles will be supporting engineering development, integration, test and transition to production efforts on complex electronic modules. Candidates will provide electrical engineering support to a dynamic engineering development team, leading first unit test, design verification test, integration and transition to production tasks on complex digital, power supply & backplane circuit cards and modules. The successful candidates must possess strong technical aptitude, communication skills and ability to work cross functionally within the hardware organization and with other engineering disciplines/functions. Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in technical areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 15 years of relevant experience in electronics packaging. + Expertise in solid modeling (CREO preferred) + Experience with drafting principles and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009. + Experience/Expertise in thermal/structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) + Ability to mentor less experienced engineers + Clear communication - both oral and written - and a positive attitude. + Ability to work effectively on a team either on-site or remotely. + Expert understanding in the application of heat transfer principles, strength of materials, materials selection and the ability to apply those principles to unique mechanical design challenges. + The ability to perform thermal and/or structural analysis using industry simulation tools (ANSYS Workbench preferred) is a plus. + The ability to lead small design teams and to effectively communicate within the team is required. + The candidate shall possess good written and verbal communication skills. + Candidate shall also be able to work within a broader program team and be able to communicate across functional boundaries in order to solve problems and achieve common goals. + Eligibility to obtain a DoD Security Clearance at the "Secret" level. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 20 years of relevant experience. + Active Secret DoD Security Clearance within the last two years. + Experience supporting bids and proposals + Experience in architecture development of new products + Experience in mentorship of less experienced engineers + The use of commercially available schedule tools and application of those tools within EVMS **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $142205 - $241749 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
