We are seeking either a Principal Software Engineer or a Senior Principal Software Engineer to join our talented team in Manhattan Beach, CA, supporting a Military Satellite Communication (MILSATCOM) Payload Ground system.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
In this role, you will develop software tools to support higher-level integration and testing for multi-satellite, multi-orbit configurations. You will also extend and maintain the Messages Database defined in the ICDs.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal S/W Engineer: 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 Year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeSenior Principal S/W Engineer: 8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 Years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeActive DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of applicationExperience with full software life cycle (requirement, design, code, test, integration), SW builds, programming standards and practicesTechnical experience with the ability to investigate complex scenarios probing into software and data sets driving the process to a resolutionAbility to interface with multifaceted teams, interpreting and troubleshooting issuesProficiency in languages: C/C++, Python, XML, JSON, JavaScriptFamiliarity with OS: Red Hat LinuxPreferred Qualifications:
