About this opportunity:
Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Process Controls Engineer for our Superior, WI location. Under the Technical Service group, this individual will be responsible for process control support in a refinery operating area. The Senior Process Controls Engineer will work closely with the operation team and process engineers to support day-to-day operation including but not limited to the development of process control strategies/graphics, optimization, support/troubleshooting of DCS/SIS/PLC applications, support of the alarm management system, and monitoring control system performance.

What you’ll do:
Support control strategy identification/development to optimize the refinery process. Support the control strategy/system development aspects for all projects in the operating area.Support designing and implementation of control system (DCS, SIS & PLC) hardware and software. Provide control system technical troubleshooting.Review refinery process optimization and control strategies with partners to enhance refinery profits and safe operation. Support incident investigations from process control side as subject matter contributor.Work with stakeholders to implement dynamic alarm activities.Maintain Advanced Process Control capability & Safety Instrumented System monitoring and performance.Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.8+ years of experience in the Process Controls field.Experience in oil and gas, refining/petrochemical industries, or related fields.Preferred:
Understanding of basic project management fundamentals, project economics, support, and execution.Advanced Process Control and Safety Instrumented System experienceStrong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.DCS Project Design, Management and Commissioning experienceProcess Control optimization, analytical and alarm management experience.Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and leadership skills.Understanding of basic project management fundamentals, project economics, support and execution.Professional member (PE) registered with State of WI DSPS, TUV SIS or CAP or Cyber-Security certifications.DeltaV Version 14.3 & Live Plant and PLC and SCADA knowledge. Other application interfaces with IT-OT-MIS space.Process Engineering experience in an oil and gas industry or refining/petrochemical industry.Demonstrated skills in DCS, SIS, PLC software and hardware database applications. Proven ability to explore and learn new programs.What we offer:
