Description
Working as part of cross-functional team, develop and/or modify existing manufacturing processes and equipment within rated spaces with a focus on Safety & adherence/compliance to standards and/or codes. Process and Machine development may range from fully custom in-house design and fabrication to collaborating with external designers or design integrators to deliver the best solution. Collaborates cross-functionally with Maintenance, Master Electrician, Controls Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Environmental Health & Safety and Product Management to ensure decisions are robust and well balanced. Understand and apply design best practices in accordance with standards/codes for rated spaces. Develop complex modifications to existing equipment or design of simple, but entirely new equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required
•\tA Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.)
•\tMinimum of 8 years of experience
•\tExperience in manufacturing and/or equipment/ventilation design in rated spaces
•\tDemonstrated understanding of UL508A, NFPA 70E, NFPA 660 (or predecessors), NFPA 497, and NEC code requirements.
•\tDemonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment
•\tExcellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred
•\t4 years of relevant manufacturing experience that involves mixing of powders or other potentially hazardous materials
•\tProficient in Solidworks or other 3D Modeling
•\tExperience in power transmission design, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
