About the role

The Kerry Zwijndrecht site is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer with 5 - 7 + years of experience in the food/fine chemistry industry. Your job goal is to optimize/renew/design production processes and solve process problems in such a way that they meet the set requirements while taking into account time, costs and applicable (government) regulations. You will report to the Engineering Manager

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Process Engineer you will be responsible for:
 

Responsible for the development, optimization and improvement of end to end production processes to improve safety, output and quality, whilst reducing cost and waste. Process design with P&ID/PFD, scoop document, datasheets, process calculations, E, I & A, piping, mechanical, etc,. Provide subject matter expertise on one or more of our key process technologies such as wet processing, spray drying and solids handling and dry blending, curate best practices and build future-focused capabilities. Develop process engineering design packages, including material and energy balances, detailed equipment designs and supporting documentation for new and existing processes. Manage your own projects from feasibility throughout the various design stages to commissioning, including engineering contractor management, specification development, progress reporting and performance qualification. Ensure compliance with corporate policies as related to the engineering department, including Process Safety Management requirements, such as Management of Change and Hazards and Operability assessments. Cooperate with other local and global disciplines in order to deliver on our commitments to our customers and continuously improve our value proposition by improving process safety, production processes (Overall Equipment Effectiveness, costs, energy) and product quality and liaise between RD&A and Manufacturing. Contribute to the development of the engineering discipline by coaching others and by establishing and rolling out new engineering standards. Degree in Engineering – Chemical / Process / Mechanical 5 - 7+ years of experience in a similar process engineering position in either food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry Experience of supervising or leading others Strong knowledge of Process Improvement best practice and tools Budget / Project Management Experience Knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations (occupational health and safety, (food) safety, environment and quality) Experience with MS Office, AutoCad and ERP (SAP) systems Fluent in Dutch and English About Kerry
