Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for creating and coordinating the implementation of new or modification of existing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity as well as various engineering assignments including studies, design drawings, equipment layout proposals, documenting, creating and training on equipment procedures and work instructions. In addition, the Senior Process engineer will spend a significant amount of time on the manufacturing floor evaluating equipment efficiency and working with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to increase equipment uptime and productivity and will develop, justify, plan and implement capital projects in excess of $1,000,000 as well as expense projects in their area of responsibility. What you’ll do as a Senior Process Engineer: + Justifies, specifies, procures and installs new equipment. Requires detailed work and planning with maintenance, operations and outside contractors as needed. + Responsible for preparing cost estimates, project scope documents, status reports and timelines, evaluating bid proposals and project management for all expense and capital projects, equipment moves, upgrades and installations in your area of responsibility. + Responsible for and controls expenditures within limitations of project budgets. + Is the primary technical resource for and works closely with maintenance and operations providing troubleshooting support and training for printing department equipment. + Responsible for supporting die cutting, embossing and KEM department equipment. + Provides technical assistance for inquiries from Customers, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing as it relates to designing products for manufacturability. + Maintain high speed vision systems integrated with our printing equipment to ensure that defects are not passed onto the next area of operations. + Must value working safely and follow all site-specific safety practices and procedures as well as possess an understanding of OSHA regulations and safe work practices. + Assists with the annual capital and operational budget development. + Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. We’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer with: + BS in Engineering or Technology Degree preferred, but other related engineering degrees may be acceptable with significant process and project management experience. + 10 + years (minimum of 5 years) of applicable work experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably high-speed) troubleshooting process equipment and implementing capital projects. Printing background is preferred. + Must be a detail-oriented individual. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Experience with Auto-Cad and MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook e-mail for reporting and communication. + SAP experience a plus. + Ability to analyze data, evaluate and communicate results and recommend improvements. + Must be able to reason sufficiently for decision-making on an independent basis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: + Must be able to maneuver throughout the manufacturing facility.
