We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Principal Technologist and based in San Jose, California. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage projects on gas processing including gas clean-up to meet the Bloom’s gas inlet spec, as well as gas separation of the Bloom’s outlet exhaust gasResearch industry standard and state-of-the-art gas processing technologies that is applicable for Bloom’s processesWork with teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of the gas clean up system with the Bloom’s system evaluating the overall process flow diagram, control philosophy, equipment type and sizing, risk analysis, and instrumentation requirementsCollaborate with internal cross functioning teams, as well as external partners such as universities, national laboratories and industry partners and vendors Generate and review process flow diagrams and P&IDs for gas processing systemsPerform testing, collect and analyze data from test systemsPerform techno-economic case studies and sensitivity analysis to support technology and business developmentEducation, Skills and Experience:
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Mechanical EngineeringExperience in gas process plant design, adsorbent-based separation, such as natural gas processing, biogas and carbon captureAbility to complete Energy & Mass Balance calculationsStrong research skillsExceptional analytical skills and attention to detailProven ability to successfully manage projects, multi-tasking, and meet deliverable deadlines amidst changing requirements, deadlines, and prioritiesStrong self-starter and team player, with a “can-do” attitude.
