About the role

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Metals & Optimization, the Process Engineer will impact the

organization by optimizing and improving the efficiency of Reworld’s industrial processes. The

Engineer will ensure the smooth functioning of production lines, develop new techniques, modify

existing designs and coordinate process improvement projects. This is a role with a high degree

of visibility and will work collaboratively with our engineering, operations and optimization teams

to install, modify, qualify and analyze operations for optimization and process improvement.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (BY PERCENT if appropriate):

1. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and

enhance productivity in operational processes.

2. Equipment Design and Improvement: Collaborate with design teams to develop and

implement equipment modifications or new equipment installations to improve process

performance.

3. Quality Assurance: Ensure that operational processes adhere to quality standards and

regulatory requirements. Implement measures to maintain consistent product quality.

4. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to process performance, identifying trends

and areas for improvement. Utilize statistical tools and software for process optimization.

5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment

or process inefficiencies(including equipment failure, underperformance, etc.) Develop

solutions to prevent recurrence of problems.

6. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare documentation such as technical reports, standard

operating procedures (SOPs), and process manuals. Report on key performance indicators

(KPIs) and project milestones. Develop new and optimize existing dashboards to standardize

the reporting process.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production,

maintenance, quality assurance, and management to achieve operational goals.

8. Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives using

methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen to drive process

enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Skills, Certificate, Licenses, Experience)

Experience:

Requirements:

· Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

· Knowledge of continuous processes, equipment design, and quality assurance principles.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

· At least 5 years of experience as a process engineer within a highly industrialized environment

(manufacturing, materials management, etc.)

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.

Travel required / Work Hours:

· Up to 40% North American travel may be required in this role

· Average work hours are between 8 am and 5 pm M-F, however weekends and evenings may be required

as needed.
