For this reason, we are seeking an experienced procurement professional to help us align our procurement structure and governance within the US market. This could be your opportunity to put your stamp on the various procurement activities that will continue to deliver value within Circle K.

The procurement operational category manager will primarily focus on the US market management activities within several GNFR categories.

The Senior Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for supporting the establishment and development of a Procurement Operations function covering categories within Circle K in maintenance, equipment, supplies, fleet, terminals and logistics.

This position will also include close cooperation with potential BPO partner(s).

The senior procurement category manager will support building a best-in-class procurement department delivering realized commercial and operational value benefits through RFX processes, E-Procurement, change management process and leveraging internal and external supplier relationships for a multimillion-dollar supplier spend organization.

This role will allow the autonomy to implement and drive operational excellence as the business continues its faced pace growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, strategic thinking and delivery focused team with great career potential.

This position will include phases of procurement efforts for these categories in the US market. Establish and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders and drive the change management and cultivate national-level relationships with primary vendor partners and leverages regional best-practices across the regions in North America. Support with developing, overseeing, and facilitating the purchasing strategy, operations and logistics for the functional area and category. 

The procurement senior category manager will support the company goals by focusing on accountability, customer service and work efficiency.  

The position will be the key responsible for securing optimal and compliant execution of procurement and purchasing processes within the category across US.

Experience negotiating large scale complex goods and services supply contracts. Understanding the operational functions and the importance of close collaboration and partnership to drive aligned value.Confident and strong communicator with influencing capabilities.Delivering additional procurement synergies for the company network, derived primarily from standardization efforts, exploiting unleveraged scale opportunities, consolidating vendor partners and distribution points, challenging current business models and technologies.Provides strategic and tactical guidance on key categories based on market trends, internal and external best practices, and company performance objectives.Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to diagnose, quantify, and address regional and/or national‐level opportunities and alternative revenue sources. Unites the company’s autonomous business units around common value‐enhancing principles, innovative programs and offerings, and relevant macro‐level opportunities.Establishing and maintaining effective, efficient communication with senior management. Helps in scaling successful regional programs to multinational and global level status. Supports the establishment of benchmarks, performance markers and objectives.

What You Need

Degree in business and economics, or similar. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.Minimum 5 years of procurement, commercials, and contract management experience.Preferable experience from retail industry or similar, covering the above categories. Documented record in unlocking commercial value. Excellent commercial and operational mindset. Strong negotiation and analytical skillset. Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct others according to company standards.Ability to network and establish partnerships internally and externally. Balance competing priorities, deadlines, and multitaskingExceptional oral and written communication skills Advanced experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred, and more procurement systems such as Ariba, or similar. Self-driven personality with stamina, and strong ability to secure execution. Willing to work non-traditional working hours, due to global time-zones.
