Job Description Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager
Location: UK - South Coast
Job Purpose: The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the transformation of the marine procurement function. This includes strategic and operational accountability for driving and delivering optimal performance and stability of the global supply chain for the fleet of vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Marine Procurement Team within the Fleet Department. Develop and implement strategies, continuous improvement, and cost-optimisation initiatives across the supply chain. Manage relationships and negotiate with key suppliers. Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process. Partner closely with the Fleet team for formulating the vessel operating and dry-docking budget and forecasts. Identify and deliver potential savings opportunities. Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:
Proven previous procurement experience at a similar level. Experience in cost saving and solution providing. Knowledge and experience of tender processes, execution and negotiation strategies. Excellent analytical abilities, capable of interpreting data, identifying insights, and making informed decisions to optimise the supply chain. Excellent English language skills, both oral and written. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in procurement, particularly in the maritime industry but not essential, who is looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
