Senior Procurement Specialist – Chemicals (Tuzla)

The Senior Procurement Specialist – Chemicals will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring high-quality sourcing of products and services, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment to support our company's operations. The position will be located in Tuzla, Istanbul / Turkey.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Business Administration disciplineProfessional credential in purchasing would be a plusA strong knowledge of chemistry and chemical market background is preferredStrong exposure in integrated financial systemsProficiency in MS Office and ERP systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentSelf-starter, mature, good communicator and has strong negotiation skillsResult-oriented, collaborative and has a can-do attitudeGood command of Turkish and English languages (both in written and spoken)No obstacle to travel frequently within the country/region

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop effective and efficient procurement strategies for categories under managementCollaborate closely with the R&D organization and manufacturing operations to coordinate portfolio changes either for savings or innovationManage on-going supplier performance to meet or exceed all metrics regarding service, performance, quality, cost and sustainability Leading tenders and making the contracts, finalizing contract with complete documentation in accordance with proceduresDecide where to buy which goods or services and under which conditionsCooperation with local, regional and global stakeholders to assure a smooth and compliant operationProvide seamless supplier management and compliance supportResponsible for KPIs and objectives with cost savings, cost avoidance and value added projectsDevelop and continually improve procurement policies, monitor and continually improve procurement processes and practicesCollaborate with relevant business units and functional teams for the greatest level of synergy, such as quality, inventory, cash flow, speed to market
