Job Description
The Sr Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, analysis, and execution of innovative procurement strategies that deliver sustainable enterprise value, including achieving cost reduction targets. This role involves monitoring the delivery of key contracts, capturing financial savings through negotiation of contract terms and conditions, and monitoring supplier performance. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager, Category - Procurement and Supply Management on strategic sourcing initiatives, which include developing sourcing project plans, preparing procurement process documentation, and handling Request for X (RFx) events through to evaluation, negotiation, and final recommendation.
ResponsibilitiesInteract with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and promote value creation.Conduct data analytics during different stages of the sourcing process.Develop the procurement category strategy and supplier market knowledge as it relates to Track Maintenance Services parts and services.Build and manage the RFx process, evaluate supplier responses, and prepare business cases for management approval.Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including commercial and legal terms and conditions.Lead contracts, supplier relationships, and supplier performance.Collaborate with Buyers to ensure all rates and agreements are appropriately administered in the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process.Ensure that all internal requirements in terms of compliance to procurement policy are met.Participate and support department-wide projects when needed.Essential Skills2+ years of procurement experience (strategic).Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP).Basic knowledge of contracts and terms and conditions.Understanding of the procurement process.Fluency in English and French.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Power BI.5+ years of experience in procurement for more advanced roles.Strong knowledge of contracts (working off boilerplate) and comfort in negotiating with suppliers.An electrical engineering experience is highly beneficial.Curiosity and desire to engage with technical aspects.Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative mindset.Ability to navigate and work with internal and external stakeholders effectively.Demonstrated agility and ability to drive change.Work Environment
The work environment includes a mix of in-office and remote work, with three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days from home. The standard workweek is 40 hours, with the possibility of overtime. The team consists of a manager and two specialists, with another track manager overseeing three specialists. The office features cubicles, renovated within the last five years, free coffee, and an onsite gym.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00
