JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Channel is looking for an experienced, dynamic, creative, and hardworking Senior Producer to join the top-rated and recently expanded primetime program, The Big Weekend Show, where panelists discuss the big news of the day and react to the top stories. As Senior Producer, you play a pivotal role in setting editorial standards and shaping the show's weekly content. You understand the value in pitching new and original ideas in a collaborative team setting. As a natural leader with a track record of success, you can effectively communicate with multiple on-air talent and manage a team during fast-paced, breaking news situations. You will oversee all aspects of pre-production and live broadcast execution. You have the foresight to identify, anticipate, and solve conflicts.

This role is located fully onsite, and the schedule is currently Wednesday – Sunday.

 A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the Executive Producer in building the show's rundown with original content and best elements while maintaining editorial structure

Manage and communicate with producers and the control room

Identify and recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

Monitor multiple sources for new developments on your segments and reporter hits, and keep the team informed

Mentor and develop show staff including Line Producers, Associate Producers, Booker/Researchers and Production Assistants

React to breaking news and ensure informative content is getting on the air as news happens

Collaborate and communicate with multiple hosts to ensure they are receiving the necessary research and elements needed to ensure the best show

Approve and edit scripts, video, soundbites, banners and fullscreens

Identifying compelling elements for stories

Oversee the execution and production of the show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience

5+ years of newsroom experience, including 2-3 years of line producing a live television newscast

Demonstrated experience working with on-air talent

Exceptional editorial and writing skills

Experience as a producer of opinion-based content a plus

Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

Passion for storytelling with a strong creative drive

Excellent time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to establish a team-oriented work atmosphere

Attention to detail, an aptitude for working under tight deadlines, and effectively handling multiple priorities simultaneously

Familiarity with iNews, DALET, VIZ, and an understanding of building program rundowns

Knowledge and passion for current events, politics, and pop culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $95,000.00-140,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $79,100.00-116,600.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
