JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for a talented Senior Producer for a multi-vertical news program. As a Senior Producer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the show's daily content.  The Senior Producer has strong editorial skills and a wide range of interests from news and politics to pop culture and everything else in between.

 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Build the show's rundown with original content and best elements

Manage and communicate with talent, producers, bookers, and the control room during breaking news

Identify and recognize stories with high potential for compelling content

Mentor and develop show staff including Line Producers, Writers, Bookers, APs, and Production Assistants

Approve and edit scripts, banners, and full screens

Participate in daily team meetings to develop show content

Oversee the execution and production of the show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience

Bilingual (Spanish and English) required

6+ years of news and digital experience, including producing a television newscast

Solid understanding of international news coverage preferred  

Exceptional editorial and writing skills

Attention to detail, an aptitude for working under tight deadlines, and effectively handling multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong interest and knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-135,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
