Senior Producer
We are the developers of Halo, the blockbuster series of video games. As part of Xbox Game Studios, the Halo franchise encompasses games, television series, novels, comics, licensed collectibles, apparel and more. We are looking for new Spartans to join our team to build the next generation of games and experiences in our award-winning sci-fi universe. Do you understand modern console/PC games? As a Senior Producer, you’ll leverage knowledge of the end-to-end game production lifecycle to ensure forward movement in a timely manner, while retaining quality within the product. You’ll also create strategy and drive execution across multidisciplinary teams – both internal and external – with high level of industry knowledge and experience. When they arise, you will proactively identify and escalate problems and drive resolution of those problems while considering of cost, quality, and time. Contribute to creating roadmaps to success by spacing effective and achievable product milestones. Monitor and manage the progression of game production and drive a culture of iteration and improvement. + Build upon our internal processes of game production with your unique experience. Learn what makes ussuccessful and merge that with your brand of production to help uscontinue our cycle of adapting and improving. + Drive clarity of accountability with product stakeholders both within game production and across disciplines. Identifysponsors and secure resources where necessary. + Ensure work alignment, and leverage knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, processes, and events to organize and execute on work across multiple teams. + Help us forge the next generation of top game producers. Create, lead, and executestrategy with direct reports while coaching them in the craft of game production. Model how to collaborate with peers and other managers to align priorities and create clarity. Ensure successful collaboration and productively solve conflicts to build team trust. + Contribute to partnerships with stakeholders across Xbox (e.g., marketing, platforming) to share technology and insignts and leverage strengths of Xbox broadly. + Effectively leverage relationships with contributors to identify potential threats or roadblocks to products and propose comprehensive solutions. Demonstrate the ability to execute solutions autonomously. + Foster effective and inclusive relationships with contributors to projects. Leverage team asynchronous and hybrid work communication methodsto createdesired outcomes while maximizing the time of your team for deep work. + Work with and leadcross-functional and/or core teams to create clarity, generate energy, and deliver success in game production. Leverage relationships with others to influence toward a common goal. Demonstrate effective team leadership skills. Lead cross-functional teams in the full cycle of game production for a particular game or product, and that their cross-functional team understands the full scope of roles and responsibilities. + Leverage relationships with contributors and discipline peers from varied groups and teams to achieve alignment of priorities and successful game production. Understand and contribute to team well-being and sustainment. + Communicate and connect with partners contracted to assist in game production external to Microsoft byestablishing collaboration standards and enforcing them with external partners and internal managers. Foster relationships with external partners and vendors for long-term success. **Qualifications** **Required qualification** **s** **:** + · Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in production roles in gaming or entertainment industry, or other multi-disciplinary leadership + · Experience in development and shipping of one product release. Experience with taking a product from inception to production. **Other Requirement** **s** **:** + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirementsisrequired for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred qualification** **s** **:** + Scrum Master Certification + Jira and/or ADO proficiency + Interest in Halo Game Producers IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
