Senior Product Designer (Data and Business Intelligence) *Remote. Most states eligible*

Join our innovative Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) as a Senior Product Designer. In this role, you'll contribute to the creation of intuitive dashboard designs in BI tools, boosting our design maturity. This role demands collaboration with designers and cross-functional teams to advance design competency for data products. Essential traits include strong communication, empathy, data visualization, and dashboard development expertise. You'll provide guidance to partners with limited design backgrounds.   We prioritize talent and skill over years of experience. A portfolio showcasing dashboard and data visualization work is required to be considered for this role.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field or 8 years of relevant experience with certifications e.g. data analytics, data visualization 5 years experience in human-centered design, UI/UX product design, data analytics, data visualization or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

You champion the concept of “big design”.  You hold a belief in design as a transformative tool, not limited to user interfaces but as a strategy for organizational growth. You have outstanding design leadership, are skilled at interacting with people and maximizing the design impacts. While proficient in Figma, you appreciate that design transcends specific tools, embracing versatility in platforms like Power BI. You have a solid foundation in design basics. You have a deep understanding of design patterns for enterprise data products. You are a systematic thinker who can articulate design decisions backed by clear rationales. You are a strategic thinker who balances attention to detail with a focus on overarching goals. You are interested in designing data products. You have a strong interest and proven experience in data visualization, design systems and dashboard design. You are not limited to interaction design. You have an independent visual aesthetic that respects the value of visual design in enhancing product appeal, without succumbing to fleeting design trends. Light front-end development skills are appreciated but not mandatory.
