Senior Product Designer (Temp role)

About the role and our team:

We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our Marketplace zone on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. You will play a key role in shaping the continued evolution of our US wedding marketplace, helping couples discover and connect with wedding professionals. Your designs will delight our users, set industry standards, and ensure our platform remains intuitive and efficient.

As a self-starter, you will own the end-to-end design process—from ideation to execution—using a data-driven approach. You’ll collaborate across teams, iterating on products through continuous feedback and analysis while balancing business, technical, and UX constraints. Your work will refine our design system and ensure cohesive, polished experiences across the product ecosystem.

This fixed-term position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact during the maternity leave cover period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Product Designer:

Understand users deeply, identify their pain points, and advocate for their needs. Design user-centric experiences that simplify complex problems. Create visually appealing, easy-to-use interfaces across platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, research, writing) to solve user problems. Present and discuss design solutions effectively with stakeholders.

As a Design Team Member:

Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the design system to ensure cohesive user experiences. Participate in design critiques and reviews with openness and a growth mindset. Be receptive to feedback and continuously develop your skills.

As a Product Squad Partner:

Take initiative as a key member of an autonomous, full-stack product team. Collaborate, ideate, and iterate with your team to enhance the product. Advocate for user-centered design and high-quality standards. Consider device types, screen sizes, and platforms when designing. Ensure technical feasibility by working closely with developers.

Successful candidates will have:

Experience as a full-stack product designer, handling everything from ideation to final design. A degree in Product Design, UX Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A strong portfolio demonstrating digital product design (web and mobile) with user-centered methodologies, interaction flows, high-fidelity screens, and shipped products. A creative and strategic mindset with solid critical-thinking abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to integrate branding into user experiences. Experience with design patterns, style guides, user testing, and building prototypes. Proficiency in Figma, Miro, and user testing tools. An appreciation for how language enhances the user experience. Knowledge of software development and experience collaborating with engineers. A passion for research and the ability to balance qualitative feedback, quantitative data, and empathy to drive innovation. Excellent communication skills.
