As a Senior Product Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Serve as primary technical contact for manufacturing, vertical integration, product hospital, sustaining engineering team, and others as required to ensure quality product is designed, shipped, and sustained
Analyze and improve manufacturing (MFG) parametric test data
Partner with MFG test engineering to define and optimize MFG tests and acceptance criterion
Track and improve internal MFG yields and costs and verify these meet expected projections
Generate internal MFG production reports and present results to R&D and MFG organizational leaders
Support MFG engineering to develop and optimize product manufacturing processes
Support R&D teams to develop and enforce design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) best practices to facilitate MFG test validation
Lead applicable organizations (R&D, MFG, Apps, etc.) to diagnose, identify, and address production issues, or identify opportunities to improve released products
Work with quality assurance teams to identify and qualify new tests to ensure reliability

This job might be for you if:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of relevant industry experience
Deep understanding of discrete electronic circuit design, fabrication, and validation techniques
Deep understanding of electronic manufacturing and product assembly methodologies
Deep understanding of electronic testing procedures and methodologies
Excellent problem solving and circuit debugging skills
Summarize statistical reports to identify key performance metrics
Competent programming and automation abilities
Focus on industry standard statistical analysis and reporting tools (Python, JMP, etc.)
Willing to travel up to 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electric utility relays and telecommunications

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Product Engineer $100,000 -$168,000.
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
