Senior Product Manager, Trust & Safety

Our retail partners and merchants need Affirm to be there for them, wherever that might be. To help achieve this vision, we are expanding our product lines and becoming a global company.

The Trust and Safety product team is responsible for the Identity, Authentication and Fraud experience across all of Affirm’s products (including checkout, mobile app and partner experiences). As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for fueling Affirm’s growth while safeguarding Affirm users from fraud and account security risks. Trust & Safety products (Identity, Authentication, Fraud) are the front door for our millions of users to Affirm. Our team’s mandate is to build a seamless authentication, identity verification and fraud experience that allows users to easily and quickly become Affirm users while we safeguard their account from malicious actors in the background. The Trust & Safety product is experiencing rapid expansion, both in terms of its scale and its influence. This product leader will shape the product vision and execute a strategic roadmap that will profoundly shape the future trajectory of Affirm.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy: Define and execute the product vision and strategy for the consumer experience across identity, authentication and fraud for Affirm’s products 

Leadership: Be the accountable product leader for consumer experiences across Identity, Authentication and Fraud across Affirm. Drive excitement for the product area within the organization, negotiate resources, and help all cross-functional teams come together to deliver holistic solutions that create value for our consumers, merchants and partners. 

Roadmap Ownership: Develop, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap for consumer experiences across Identity, Authentication and Fraud across all of Affirm's products, balancing short-term wins with long-term innovation.

Analytics: Work with analytics team to measure ongoing success of the product area and report to the leadership team

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, data analytics, user research, marketing, infosec, fraud and other teams to ensure smooth product development. Act as the glue that keeps stakeholders aligned and on track.

Communication: As a senior member of the Product Management team, you’ll regularly communicate across product and engineering teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders, including frequently presenting to C-level executives.


What We Look For

5+ years of product management experience

This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Passion to change consumer finance for the better

A track record of developing and championing product strategy with quantifiable impact

An analytical metrics-based approach to identifying, sizing and solving problems

An experimentation mindset to rapidly define hypotheses, test them quickly and drive product velocity

A compelling influencer with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to turn ambiguity to action and measurable impact

Equity Grade - 6


Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year: $150,000 - $200,000
