Job Summary:
Senior Product Manager, Core Data
You
Thinking about a technical product role? This role is for the technically-inclined, product-focused data evangelist. You know how to connect data to consumers in meaningful ways, how to modernize a data ecosystem, how to make data the asset it can be for a company. Maybe you’re a software or data engineer and thinking you might bring more value to your organization leading strategy and building data products as opposed to engineering. Regardless of your background, this role will enable you to think about large scale, global data solutions for fans, venues, promoters, and live music professionals.
The Company and Team
We are excited about music, live entertainment, data, technology, and experiences. Within Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster’s Core Systems teams lead the products that power the “ticketing” in Ticketmaster. These core systems are deployed worldwide to support all aspects of the ticketing ecosystem - from tour planning, to event on-sale, ticket management, entry, and more.
The vast amount of data from these systems in turn power artist, partner, client, and fan experiences. This is where you come in…
The Job
As a Product Manger on the Core Data team, you will help shape and drive the strategy and plan for how we make strategic and effective use of our Ticketmaster Core systems’ data.
Your primary responsibility will be establishing a common understanding of core system data and developing strategies, plans, and tactical implementation processes to improve upon the management of Core system data, the effective use of that data by consumers, and the furthering of business use of data.
You will get to immerse yourself in Ticketmaster's data environment - from development and collection, through transformation, storage, organization, and access. You will become acutely familiar with our use of data-oriented products, APIs, and how these are shared with consumers.
You will analyze complex data sets, identifying trends and providing insights that will help the company make informed business decisions. You will apply your expertise to translate complex data into understandable models/abstractions for data consumption. You will identify and promote meeting our data consumers with data products that meet their needs.
In sum, your work will help us build our data ecosystem, adding value by linking core data producers, our data platform, and data consumers both internal and external with sophisticated, global data products.
