Senior Product Manager

What you'll do...

Position: Senior Product Manager

Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030

Duties: Spearhead the market introduction of Walmart's digital retail capabilities through end-to-end Product Management, from ideation to iterative market release, to empower customers and associates with streamlined intuitive user experiences and enable well-informed and well attended shopping experiences. Own product OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and analytics to monitor product success. Utilize proficiency in SQL and modern analytical tools like Snowflake, Looker, and Tableau to generate intuitive dashboards and effectively present insights to stakeholders and leaders to influence product strategy. Liaise across multiple functions, including Business, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Legal, to ensure that the feature requirements are curated, reviewed, and planned for ahead of time. Facilitate conversations across stakeholders to establish consensus on prioritized requirements and product strategy. Bridge the conversations between Business and Technology teams by translating problem statements into actionable technical solutions. Utilize critical thinking and user-centered design experience to create user-flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UX/UI mocks that will enable intuitive user experiences and engagement. Leverage working knowledge of System Design, Software Engineering, and Quality Assurance to collaborate with engineering teams on implementing optimized features, preventing operational issues, and minimizing technical debt. Utilize problem-solving skills to conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) quickly to identify core problems and implement effective short-term and long-term fixes for resolving technical issues. Leverage knowledge of project management, agile methodology, and cross-functional coordination to define and communicate product vision, while identifying and minimizing potential project risks ahead of time. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Management, or related area and 3 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Management, or related area and 5 years of experience in product management.

Skills required: Experience with Product Management, including understanding business challenges and/or customer requirements, spearheading the solution from ideation to market delivery, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring success. Experience with Project Management, including developing phased release plans with milestones, managing and coordinating Engineering Sprints, and ensuring risk prevention and mitigation. Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, System Design, API Integrations, and Database Management Systems. Experience with ticketing and documentation tools, including JIRA and Confluence. Experience creating UX/UI Designs using at least one of the following tools: Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop. Experience generating user flow diagrams, customer journey maps, and flowcharts using at least one of the following tools: Visio, Draw.io, or Lucidchart. Experience querying, analyzing, visualizing, and generating Business Intelligence reports using SQL, Tableau, Data Warehouse, and Microsoft (MS) Excel. Experience navigating and implementing security protocols and ensuring protection for the individual, business, and engineering partners internally and externally.
