**Job Purpose**
As a **Senior Product Manager** in Employee Experience (HR), you will deliver world class products that will foster Microsoft culture by empowering our people through consumer-grade human resources experiences that are connected, intelligent, and supported by agile solutions.
**To be successful in this role:**
+ As a product manager, you will create a clear point of view that comes from first-hand, large-scale experience with Microsoft and industry solutions.
+ Build and execute toward a well-defined vision, meeting, or far exceeding industry solutions, while enlisting our partners in that success.
+ Align stakeholders around the vision for the product features.
+ Define objectives and KR’s that will drive the planning and delivery of the defined vision.
+ Work with User Research and User experience Design teams to develop sophisticated, user centered experiences that support and empower our customers and partners to make decisions and create value and insights.
+ Work with engineering to create sophisticated methods for creating and measuring progress towards those outcomes.
+ Drive delivery of quantifiable outcomes and evangelize the results within our organization, within our partner organizations, and externally to the industry.
+ Ensure product designs meet compliance, regulatory, accessibility, and external standards.
+ Ensure that outcomes are measured, and continuous improvements are in place to roll out quality products to our customers.
+ Utilize agile development methodologies, and be the voice of the product management team
+ Be the subject matter expert and consultant for your product

**Responsibilities**
**Product/Service Definition**
+ Influences and engages with cross-functional internal partners, external partners, to gather input and garner support for product/service vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple feature areas.
+ Solicits input from others regarding priorities and resources needed to deliver desired outcomes for multiple feature areas.
+ Owns or partners with others in driving business impact across the organization and tracking success criteria and performance metrics (Objectives and Key Results [OKRs], Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]).
+ Works with Software Engineering (SWE) and partners to identify needed data and ensure needed telemetry is developed and obtains it responsibly and compliantly; reports and explicates reasons for outcomes.
+ Determines the features or experiences to prioritize in the roadmap that will support achievement of success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
**Product/Service Development**
+ Collaborates with partner team to build golden configurations and drives scenario walkthroughs and thought exercises to identify problems, system friction, and needed contingencies for multiple feature areas.
+ Shares feature previews or roadmap with partners to drive engagement and to gather early feedback and Collaborates with Software Engineering (SWE), to synthesize, prioritize, and address feedback to improvement.
+ Prioritizes the backlog, works with Software Engineering (SWE) and partners to align on tradeoffs for the multiple feature areas they own.
+ Engage in unit testing, Integration testing, user acceptance testing to ensure customer needs are met as per the specifications.
+ Explore opportunities to leverage AI capabilities in the product development lifecycle.
**Go To Market**
+ Evangelizes the feature areas they work on with internal and external stakeholders, partners, analysts, and customers in the industry via presentations, blog posts, social media, and other forums.
**Product/Service Performance**
+ Leverages customer listening systems, telemetry, engagements etc., to develop insights on product performance and customer needs. Shares insights with SWE partners to drive improvement/adoption in specific performance metrics that have broad impact in a targeted area.
+ Identifies features to deprecate. Develops, articulates, and presents reasoning and tradeoffs involved in deprecations.
+ Understands and drives improvements in the support process, including both forums and communities.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
+ OR equivalent experience.
**Other Requirements**
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience in HCM SaaS solutions such as SuccessFactors, Workday is a plus.
+ Experience in managing benefits, time and payroll solutions with Benefex, ADP, Kronos, Workforce software is a plus.
+ Deep domain expertise in HR & experience in writing detailed product requirements & grooming product backlogs.
+ Curiosity and working knowledge of usage of AI in HR technologies.
+ Solid understanding of engineering software development life cycle & standard operating procedures.
+ Experience in program management principles and ability to drive complex, cross functional programs from initiation to completion.
**Product Management IC4** - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
