Product Manager – Data Strategy

Location: NYC – 3 days onsite
Compensation: $140K–$155K Depending on experience

Our client is a globally recognized firm specializing in risk advisory and financial services. They are committed to leveraging data-driven insights to optimize decision-making across multiple business functions. The Data Strategy team plays a key role in developing innovative data assets, utilizing advanced analytics, and supporting business transformation efforts.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing data-driven product strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams that include data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. As a Product Manager, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of key data products, from ideation to execution, ensuring solutions drive business impact. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful insights and products.

Responsibilities: Conduct user research and product discovery to define customer needs and underlying challenges. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business impact and ensure product success. Develop data-driven solutions using an iterative approach, making informed decisions at each stage of the product lifecycle. Define a long-term strategic vision for data products, aligning with industry trends and technological advancements. Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring smooth execution of strategic initiatives. Present insights and product roadmaps to senior leadership and business partners, tailoring communication to different audiences. Requirements: Successfully launched at least three major data-driven products from inception to market with measurable impact. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or business analysis focused on data-centric products. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct exploratory data analysis, identify insights, and present well-founded conclusions. Proficiency in tools such as SQL, API requests, Excel, and basic scripting in Python or R. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of modern data trends, including AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and Data Visualization. Experience working with data-focused teams in technology, consulting, or financial services industries. Familiarity with risk management, financial modeling, or regulatory compliance. A degree or expertise in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics. What’s in It for You?
