Position Overview: 


We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Pay Experience team. This role is integral to managing payroll and tax calculations and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams and a business analyst to enhance our payroll solutions, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering results in a cross-functional environment. Your expertise in payroll compliance and tax regulations will be critical in supporting Paylocity’s mission to deliver impactful and compliant payroll solutions.

Payroll and Tax Expert: You bring extensive experience in payroll, with deep knowledge of US tax regulations and compliance. You understand the complexities of payroll and tax calculations and are passionate about keeping up with regulatory changes. Collaborative Partner: You work well with others and thrive in cross-functional settings. You know how to balance competing priorities and value feedback from peers and stakeholders. Working closely with other product teams, business analysts, and engineering is second nature to you. Clear Communicator: You can convey technical details to various audiences, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned. You are skilled at translating complex requirements into actionable steps for engineering teams. Resilient and Accountable: You embody the qualities of resilience and accountability, owning your decisions and driving forward even in the face of challenges. You prioritize team success and are committed to delivering value through collaboration. 

During the First Six Months at Paylocity, You Will: 

Payroll and Tax: Gain an understanding of Paylocity’s payroll product, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues that arise. Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong working relationships with engineering teams, business analysts, and product peers to drive seamless product execution. Enhance Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure your product strategy aligns with broader organizational goals, fostering a collaborative culture and driving cohesive solutions for internal stakeholders. Own the Product Backlog: Translate complex business requirements into clear user stories, ensuring priorities are aligned with strategic goals and compliance needs. Analyze and Optimize: Monitor product performance post-launch, identifying opportunities for improvement and iterating on solutions as necessary. 

Required Experience: 

5+ years in product management, with a focus on payroll, tax, and compliance within the US market. Experience with agile development teams and managing multiple engineering partners. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, engineering, and internal stakeholders, especially within the HCM industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of presenting strategies to executive leadership and driving alignment across teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
