Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the roleIn this role, you will sit at the intersection of technical teams within PayPal as well as the various business units to understand customer needs around PayPal business. The role involves collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to deeply understand, tackle and build ‘Platform as a product’ – bringing in business as well as technical nuances around global payment processing. This role requires deep understanding of Payment capabilities and the mindset to build extensible capabilities that can be reused vs custom built every time.
You will be part of a team that is critical to the entire lifecycle of money movement at PayPal. The Payments Product team at PayPal is responsible for building and managing the payments experiences, including core payment processing, for buyers and sellers around the world.

The scope spans geographies and payment types, enabling some of the largest and most complex use cases. In addition, this team is responsible for designing, building and deploying the platform while working closely working with engineering and business stakeholders.
Payment Platform Product management team is looking for a Technical Product Manager to build a robust transaction processing platform
Job Description:
Your day to day
Driving product execution for a Payment sub platform within the Transaction Processing platform.
Ensure product requirements are defined globally, with scale, SLAs, performance in mind.
Clearly solicit feedback and distill vision, strategy, product benefits and results to our internal customers.
Representing the products to stakeholders and to peers across PayPal when it comes to establishing and enhancing Payment Transaction processing platform
Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights.
Write clear, detailed, and thorough specifications and user stories for complex features, functionality and products.
Participate in the QA process to ensure the final product meets the business design.
Working cross-functionally and build strong relationships with key customers (PMs from across the organization, software engineers, product analytics and other business teams) that will allow understand gaps and build the right solutions.
Monitor impact of product features and key metrics.
Troubleshoot product issues and answer product questions – be the platform owner and expert.
Defining and measuring key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value.
Identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices, driving innovation.

What do you need to bring
Experience in Payments, e-Commerce or Online Banking is ideal.
Experience working on payment platforms to visualize and execute towards ‘Platform as a product’ concept is desired
Experience with Agile development as a product owner for a scrum team, design thinking and customer centric approach is preferred.
"Driving capabilities" - taking initiative, persevering through challenges, constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration, driving consensus and delivering in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
Strong writing skills and ability to converse with technical and non-technical personnel fluently, articulating complex business factors, progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner to all levels and functions.
Strong analytical ability, attention to details and data-driven decision making ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, handling multiple priorities concurrently with minimal guidance is a must.
Deep desire to grow and learn and passion for PayPal’s vision to democratize money.
Desired Skills and Experience
Strong technical product skills.
6+ year experience with technology product management.
4+ year experience with service oriented architecture and Agile development methodologies.
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, MBA a plus.
