Senior Product Manager - Vehicle Health Tracking & Monitoring Solutions

International Digital Dealer is part of the digital ecosystem which will be supporting the company, its network of dealers and customers in the upcoming years. We have a great opportunity on our Digital Dealer Team for a Product Owner for Vehicle Health Tracking and Monitoring Solutions. The Product Owner will work at the intersection of technology, business, and customer needs, taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle. This role involves defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for vehicle health tracking and monitoring services, enabling enhanced diagnostics, fault codes rule engine, predictive maintenance, and real-time vehicle performance insights. This position is a hybrid role base in our Lisle, Illinois headquarters. Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the product vision for vehicle health tracking and monitoring systems. Build a product roadmap and backlog to support ecosystem strategy. Collaborate with stakeholders (engineering, dealers, operations, and customers) to build a product roadmap that aligns with business goals. Stay abreast of automotive industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in connected vehicles and IoT. Build engineering insights with analytics and predictive capabilities. Backlog Management & Prioritization: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization of features based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Work closely with engineering teams to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of product features. Customer-Centric Approach: Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product features related to vehicle diagnostics, health alerts, maintenance scheduling, and data insights. Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the product meets the needs of fleet operators, automotive manufacturers, and end consumers. Collaboration & Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, development, and data science teams, ensuring alignment and seamless execution. Work with marketing and sales to create go-to-market strategies and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success. Data & Analytics: Leverage data analytics to assess vehicle health patterns, predict maintenance needs, and optimize system performance. Track and analyze product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance product effectiveness and value. Compliance & Security: Ensure that the product complies with automotive regulations, safety standards, and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR). Work with the security team to ensure that vehicle data is securely managed and protected from breaches. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 3 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR At least 8 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in product management, preferably in the automotive, telematics, IoT, or vehicle diagnostics sectors. Experience in working with rule engines. Understands advanced data analytics and machine learning. Strong understanding of vehicle health monitoring systems, connected vehicle ecosystems, and predictive maintenance technologies. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Experience working with automotive OEMs, fleet management systems, or telematics providers. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics protocols (e.g., OBD-II, CAN bus) and vehicle health data analytics. Experience with cloud-based vehicle health monitoring solutions and IoT platforms.
