Red Hat is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering technical assets used by the RHEL product marketing team that influence technical audiences to get the most and build awareness for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You will focus your efforts on blogs, videos, demonstrations, and hands-on product experiences that are used by existing and prospective customers. You may also be asked to help in more specialized efforts like helping a specific customer with product roadmap, workshop, or technical product presentation.
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will have significant technical sales enablement responsibility, including developing technical training materials, demos, and sales tools that are used by solution architects, consultants, and partner pre-sales teams. You will also help influence the product direction of Red Hat Enterprise Linux by working closely with the Product Manager team. Technical Product Marketing Managers work hand in hand with Product Marketing Managers and Product Managers to shape the positioning, messaging and content plans for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product marketing and product management on go to market strategy including roadmap, positioning, messaging, and content plans.
Create and deliver external content like labs, blogs, workshops, how-to videos, tech tips, demos, papers, articles, etc.
Create and deliver internal content like technical selling materials like “Technical briefing for what’s new in the next version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux”
Coordinate other resources across Red Hat to create and deliver content as needed
Deliver impactful presentations at key industry and Red Hat events to relevant audiences
Train solution architects and other technical field personnel, as well as partner technical personnel, on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other associated products
Communicate requirements and product improvement opportunities to relevant product stakeholders such as Product Management and Engineering
Required skills:
Technical background (ideally 4+ years of software industry experience), with expertise in Linux
Proven understanding of what it takes to explain technical information to a technical audience
Ability to create high-quality, interesting, compelling technical content
Charismatic personality with excellent presentation skills, who has an ability to engage technical audiences and excite them about a product or technology
Success in a collaborative, technical environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in an influence-driven and cross-functional environment
Ability to travel 25%+
The following are considered a plus:
Experiences in systems management, public cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) virtualization technologies (such as VMware vSphere, Nutanix Acropolis, Red Hat Virtualization)
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator or Red Hat Certified Engineer certification
The salary range for this position is $101,300.00 - $162,050.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
