The Senior Product Owner plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Adaptivework, our multi-use SAAS project management solution. This strategic position involves overseeing product development and success, defining product strategy, managing the backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value features that address diverse user needs. The Senior Product Owner possesses a deep understanding of project management methodologies and SAAS products, with the ability to balance technical constraints against user requirements and business objectives. This multifaceted role encompasses developing and implementing product strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends, ensuring the product delivers significant value to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the product vision and strategy for Adaptivework, aligning it with customer goals and demandsCollaborate with business partners and digital channel delivery teams to manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmapWork closely with the client to define the next product iterations and plan releasesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on user needs, market trends, and business objectivesPrioritize feature implementations based on customer needs, business value, and resource availabilityUse business process and domain expertise to define detailed product requirements and work with the development team to ensure they are understood and implemented correctlyManage and facilitate the product backlog refinement process, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development sprintsCollaborate with various stakeholders, including customers, business executives, sales, marketing, and technical teams, to gather feedback and ensure alignment on product decisionsWork closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of features and timely delivery of releasesLead and mentor the product team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environmentChampion and grow the team culture by leading by exampleMonitor, gather, and analyze metrics, user feedback, usage data, and industry research to inform product decisions, improvements, and new features to increase the product's business valueDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvementBuild customer and user insights into all stages of the planning and execution processCollaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and efficient user experiencesConduct research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices in project management and SAAS productsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Business Administration, or liberal arts5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in SAAS or project management softwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisionsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiencesBasic understanding of programming concepts, the software development life cycle, and basic understanding of web technologiesProven track record of successfully launching and managing enterprise-level SAAS productsExperience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Kanban)Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authorityExcellent prioritization and time management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneouslyCustomer-oriented mindset, able to translate customer needs into product featuresStrong decision-making skills, balancing customer needs, business value, and technical feasibilityPreferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a relevant fieldExperience leading and managing high-performing teams within a Center of Excellence or similar structureFamiliarity with user research techniques and data analysis toolsCertification in product management or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PMP)Experience conducting market research and applying insights to inform product strategyProven experience leading and mentoring teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate othersExcellent coaching skills, fostering a culture of continuous learningEstimated total compensation for this position:
129,500.00 – 187,800.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
