Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Our Conversational Systems team within ASO is passionate about digital customer engagement, and is redefining what’s possible in digital communication. In this Shanghai based role, you’ll have the outstanding opportunity to build and define innovative chat experiences that make our engagements with our customers more intuitive, intelligent, and impactful. You will be entrusted with the strategic vision and execution of chat products that align with our company’s dedication to perfection, simplicity, and user delight. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to leave your mark on a product that touches lives globally.DescriptionDescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing our chat product strategies. Through a Product Owner lens, you’ll use your creativity and technical acuity to define and build the desired experience, and will be the driving force behind growing the level of support we provide for our customers. Typical responsibilities will include: - Developing and refining product roadmaps, that align with business goals and market demands. - Leading the end-to-end product management lifecycle for platform chat solutions, from ideas to execution. - Collaborating with business units to understand their needs and translating them into product features. - Working with technical partners to define processes, features, and architecture that are flexible, scalable, and operationally reliable. - Prioritizing features and improvements based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. - Evaluating chat solutions both internally and across a competitive landscape, and providing recommendations that fulfill business needs, improve customer happiness, and that may reduce operational overhead. - Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless product delivery, where your vision meets reality. - Presenting effectively with stakeholders, influencing and securing consensus and support from individual contributors and executive management. - Navigating through ambiguous situations with a clear, strategic approach. - Adapting quickly to changing business environments, ensuring the product remains aligned with company objectives and vision. - Maintaining methodologies once in service to ensure their continued use and acceptable level of quality. - Analyzing data to extract key insights that can be used for continuous process and experience improvements.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications7 years professional experience in product management (product ownership), with a focus on NLP chat, machine-learned systems, or sophisticated back-end and front-end systems; or equivalent experience in a technical fieldDirect professional experience with conversational systems, including chatbots, voice assistants, and natural language processing (NLP) technologies.Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin and English.Key QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsAbility to think creatively and strategically, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and driving innovation in conversational AI.Proven track record of delivering successful products, sometimes simultaneously, in a fast-paced, tech savvy environment.Sophisticated knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Applied experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize sophisticated data into actionable insights.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels of an organization, whether with a peer or senior exec, via written, verbal, or visual means..Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, API integrations, and the technical aspects of building conversational systems that scale.Solid understanding of customer experience (CX) and HCI design principles, with a track record of crafting intuitive, engaging, and effective chat interfaces.Education & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsMore
