**Working at our Clearwater location:**
Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers. Products and technologies here are diverse and highly sophisticated. **Role Overview and Responsibilities:**
The Senior Product/Program Manager, as part of GE Aerospace’s robust Avionics business, will be the primary customer interface to manage the development and fielding of Remote Data Concentration and I/O product offerings. The key responsibilities include:
Growth and Strategy
+ Identify new opportunities, primarily with DoD customers.
+ Interface with internal stakeholders and external customers to develop product/systems strategies that align with our product roadmap/vision.
+ Provide product and technology planning support to assure alignment to product area strategies.
+ Determine the need for development of new products, applications, and services and manage their development.
+ Suggest improvements in products, processes, and procedures.
+ Develop business plans for new systems/product services.
+ Lead overall proposal approaches and manage proposal activities, including developing cost and schedule plan estimates.
+ Develop and maintain revenue forecasts which serve as the basis for the strategic plan of the business unit.
Program Execution
+ Negotiate price, scope, terms/conditions, and schedule for new and momentum business.
+ Manage day-to-day program activities through coordination of efforts by Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Contracts to achieve customer and overall program objectives.
+ Communicate status reports, program reviews, and plans to senior leadership.
+ Creatively grow the assigned program by working closely with the customer(s) and internal stakeholders.
+ Ensure, within reasonable business constraints, that programs meet or exceed customer's cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
+ Ensure that all program activities are executed in accordance with established processes and procedures.
+ Travel approximately 25% (domestic and international).
**Required Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, product management, project management, and/or engineering management within the Aerospace industry
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
+ Master’s degree in business or management from an accredited university or college
+ 10+ years of experience program management, product management, project management, and/or engineering management within the Aerospace industry, including working with external customers
+ Familiarity with avionics hardware and/or avionics systems integration
+ Experience in fixed and/or rotary wing applications
+ Experience in developing RFI/RFP responses to Tier 1 and/or Department of Defense customers
+ Familiarity with Lean concepts and terminology to achieve continuous improvement of business processes
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Independent, self-starter that can proactively manage a variety of external and internal stakeholders and achieve business growth
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
+ Proven track record of being customer focused and experienced in communicating clearly and effectively through complicated negotiations and opposing viewpoints
+ Proficiency with project/program management tools, processes, and earned value management
