Hardware Product Manager We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Product Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This individual will work closely with a cross-functional team on projects related to our tablet products, including some early in the development process and some that are preparing for launch. Note: This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 5 months. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware projects, including defining project scope and product requirements, assessing financial impact, and driving alignment across the company. + Collaborate closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. + Partner with Program Management to monitor and track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed. + Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. + Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and management. + Work out of NYC offices Tuesday-Thursday each week. Qualifications: + 4+ years of Product Management experience developing hardware; consumer electronics experience is a plus. + Outstanding communication and presentation abilities. + Experience working closely with technical and design teams. + Experience with user testing and validation. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive decision-making. + Experience working with global teams is a plus. Typical Day in the Role: + Preparing products for launch by working with various parts of the organization to ensure decisions align with launch goals. + Managing cross-functional collaboration with design and engineering teams. + Engaging in a mixture of meetings, hands-on work, and end-to-end user testing. + Conducting financial and data analysis to support decision-making in meetings. Candidate Requirements: + 3+ years of Product Management experience developing hardware (preferably within consumer electronics). + Proven track record of delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) and task completion for product launches. + Must have hardware product management experience; candidates with only app or software product management experience will not be a good fit. + Experience launching hardware products from a Product Management perspective (e.g., Google Nest, FitBit, Shark Ninja Vacuums). + Ability to present to C-Suite level executives. + Bachelor’s Degree required.
