As a Senior Production Supervisor in our facility, this individual is responsible for supporting operations across all departments. Supports the development of team members by driving production improvement projects, plant safety initiatives, and cost performance programs. Accountable to and drives established Powder and Butter department strategies. Also responsible for providing tactical and decision-making support to the Night Operations Manager and core operations team members; ensuring optimal operational execution for the Tulare dairy facility. This position requires the ability to handle information and documents professionally and confidentially.
Work Schedule: 3rd shift (can vary occasionally based on operational needs: 1st, 2nd, 3rd)
Job Duties (Key Deliverables):
Lead, support, and deliver on the performance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Morale, and budget of the off-shift operations at the Tulare facility.
Support, oversee, and manage milk, cream and powder inventories.
Lead and support any downtime issues over 30 minutes.
Lead the root cause/corrective action investigations for unplanned events.
Coach shift Supervisors/foreman on systematic problem solving.
Focus on Safety of all employees and work environment through adherence of safety procedures.
Ensure compliance of GMP’s and the Food Safety Plan.
Deliver continuous improvement in key initiatives of Cost, Quality, Service, People, and Environment through efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources.
Proactively communicate and coordinate with Supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources.
Proactively coordinate with the Maintenance Department to conduct preventative maintenance.
Effectively plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production schedules to meet and exceed customer requirements, and production goals.
Understand the financial impact of Line Efficiency, Material Yield, and Labor Productivity on plant budgets and develops Action Plans to address gaps.
Possess brilliant focus on material yield in all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
Leads through positive influence; coaches and develops others and, where appropriate, peers.
Achieves results through teamwork; partners with the Business Unit Manager, and Supervisors to lead training and development of departmental employees.
Provides clear and timely performance feedback to peers and all employees.

Education & Experience (Required):
Bachelor's Degree or 3 plus years of supervisory/management experience in food processing/manufacturing
Experience with GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, and quality assurance.
Must possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company.
Proficient computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
Supervisory experience with Unions including contraction administration, grievance procedures and investigations.
Education & Experience (Preferred):
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Preferred: Minimum of 5 years in Operations.
Dairy Manufacturing Experience
Milk Balancing experience desirable.
Lean Management and continuous improvement experience.

Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The temperature of the work environment can fluctuate due to occasional temperatures from cold/cool to warm/hot.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.
Salary Range: $79,200 - $118,800
