What you will do-
Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Directly responsible for supervising production of class III medical devices. This position requires a broad scope of responsibility and flexibility to ensure all production, quality, regulatory, and safety objectives. Includes supervision of production team members and executing lean initiatives.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and manage the day to day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targetsThis position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that departmentCoach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirementsChampion and lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, including lean and continuous improvementBuild relationships with frontline team members, internal customers and suppliers, colleagues and support services to ensure achievement of targetsMaintaining safe environment and safety practices in all business initiativesLead MDI (management for daily improvement) meeting and actionsUnderstand and adhere to internal and external regulations, procedures & policiesLead 6S activitiesReview daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and off floor review meetingsEnsure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiativesWhat you need-
Minimum of four or more years of experience - requiredFour year degree or equivalent combination of education & experience - requiredContinuous improvement or process improvement experience. Green belt or black belt certification - preferredStrong decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively, fosters team development, good organizational skills, and detail orientationWorks well under pressure of simultaneous activitiesSelf-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision. Initiates resolution to problemsProfessional and effective written, oral and presentation skillsDemonstrated computer literacy to include Microsoft Office toolsAbility to implement changes to business processes and practices$87,600.00 - $186,700.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location.
