The Senior Program Advisor provides expert advice in the formulation and direction of public diplomacy exchange programs, as well as work on an array of policy-related issues, events, and activities on behalf of the Department of State’s (DoS) Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). This position encompasses a wide variety of duties necessary to planning and implementing exchange programs in coordination with regional bureaus, other bureau offices, program agencies, posts, as well as the interagency. The Senior Program Advisor provides support to top-level operatives and other parties as may be required.

Advise and recommend actions for management and analysis of budgets and grants, travel arrangements, training, information system support, and domestic representation using database systems. Manage matters and issues pertaining to international educational and cultural programs, exchanges, and training in assigned regional, functional, and/or thematic roles. Provide support to the Interagency Working Group on U.S. Government-Sponsored International Exchanges and Training. Confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables as agreed upon between the staff contractor and Bureau COR and Office/Division supervisor (or Office Director or Deputy Director).Expected Pay Range: $165,559 - $182,266 per year
