Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Program Coordinator.
The Department of Population Health at NYU School of Medicine seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to oversee dissemination and promotion activities for a large public health initiative that supports the City Health Dashboard (www.cityhealthdashboard.com) and Congressional District Health Dashboard (www.congressionaldistricthealthdashboard.org), collectively known as the Health Dashboard Initiatives (HDI). The Health Dashboard Initiatives are a suite of national interactive data websites that provide metrics on health and social drivers of health to policymakers at the city and congressional district levels.
Responsibilities will include supervising the development and dissemination of HDI promotional materials, shaping HDI messaging, supervising HDI social media accounts, and other outreach- related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in English, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, and five or more years of related work experience, or a Masters degree and three or more years of related work experience.

Job Responsibilities:
Create and implement distinct dissemination and promotion strategies for the City Health Dashboard and Congressional District Health Dashboard, including:Propose, develop and implement novel dissemination and promotion strategies for both websitesCreate and implement web-based advertising for both websites, with support from the HDIs external communications firmSupervise the monitoring of website performance via Google analytics, tailoring promotion strategies in response to website analytics as appropriateEngage senior leadership and other program staff in advancing these dissemination and promotion initiatives.Develop and supervise the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for HDI written materials, including:Draft and edit newsletters, social media posts, blogs, op-eds, and all other promotional materials for both websitesCreate and maintain a content calendar for use in collaboration with external communications partners and the project funderPublicize data releases, scientific publications, and other milestone eventsIn collaboration with other project staff, identify strategic dissemination opportunities and capitalize on themIndependently develop and implement a strategy to pitch HDI-related stories to national, regional, and local media outlets in collaboration with departmental communications staffLead relationships with national organizations that are partnered with HDI to craft a collaborative dissemination and promotion strategy each partner can fulfill, and monitor fulfillment of those strategic aimsCo-lead the creation of other HDI promotional materials, including for example educational videos, one-page flyers, and othersRefine and expand the national impact of HDIs brand and voice, incorporating input from senior leadership.Help senior staff prepare for conference presentations and media appearances as necessaryOther dissemination and promotion tasks as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience including program/project coordination or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi task and project manage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Over five years professional experience drafting and disseminating promotional materials, preferable for a data and/or public health related project. A public health data background, with understanding of epidemiological data and measures. Understanding of federal, state, and local policy making processes. Experience working closely with community-led organizations.
Demonstrated ability to leverage promotional and social media tools to build brand awareness and popularity. Experience working in a large, highly collaborative team setting. Interest and commitment to improving public health.
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 $94,710.02 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits
