Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM.

This program management specialist will manage a multidisciplinary team supporting the development of high-performance electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) sensing and imaging systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for overall program execution (technical, cost, and schedule) and new business capture.

In this role, you will serve as a core point of contact for customers and will work directly with subject matter experts across the business to quickly iterate and converge on achievable solutions that meet our customers’ needs. Our development timelines are aggressive, and you will be asked to develop solutions to previously unsolved problems.  You will lead and manage multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to bring concepts to fruition in support of our customers’ mission objectives. Clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing executive leadership and all levels of customer program management is required.

Position Responsibilities:

Leads development of the program architecture and top level plans for a program.Develops program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans.Identifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers.Facilitates the resolution of program issues.Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics.Integrates the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices.Implements customer and program communication and contact plans.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study5+ years of experience in project planning and execution5+ years experience in business managementExperience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best PracticesExperience with Earned Value Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10+ years of experience in project planning and executionExperience with system integration (hardware, firmware, software)Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customersExperience working with suppliersExperience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representativesExperience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Typical Education/Experience:

(Level 5) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

(Level 6) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience, 24 years' related work experience, etc.)

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Level 5: $136,850-$185,150

Level 6: $157,250-$212,750
