What You'll Do As our Senior Program Manager for Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) , you will help promote Avalara's commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees feel they belong. You will design and implement globally relevant DEI programs, tailored to meet the needs of Avalara's diverse workforce across regions. You will work with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to empower employees as active participants in driving cultural transformation. Partnering with Avalara's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) owner, you will also lead the execution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that align with Avalara's values and priorities. The Program Manager, DEI will report to the Sr. Director, People Partners & DEI and can be remote within the United States with preference for Durham/Raleigh area or EST. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Collaborate with senior leadership and teams to embed DEI principles into organizational practices. Develop and implement globally relevant DEI strategies and programs that align with Avalara's mission and our goals. Ensure DEI programs are culturally appropriate and implemented across Avalara's global regions, addressing regional needs and challenges. You will partner with People & Culture,Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and other teams to integrate DEI into the employee lifecycle. Support and guide Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in creating programs that promote inclusion, community, and belonging globally. You will manage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in collaboration with the ESG owner, ensuring understanding of DEI and organizational priorities. You will secure global support with senior leaders, aligning DEI strategies and priorities You will stay informed about global DEI trends, new best practices, and regulations to ensure Avalara remains a leader in inclusion and diversity. What You'll Need to be Successful Minimum of 5 years of experience in DEI program management, with demonstrated impact on global organizations. 5+ years experience designing and implementing globally relevant Global DEI programs, addressing diverse cultural and regional needs. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration; Master's Degree preferred Experience working with and communicating with senior leaders. Experience navigating complex global challenges. Experience tracking and using data to inform strategies and measure outcomes. Experience working with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and global employee engagement. Familiarity with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and ESG frameworks. Experience with global cultural nuances and the ability to tailor programs to different regional contexts. #LI-Remote Pay Range Details The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Colorado $97,400-$155,800 (annually) Washington $97,400-$172,000 (annually) California $97,400-$186,100(annually) NYC $117,800-188,600 (annually) The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on several factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
