This role manages safety policies, training, risk assessment processes, and vendor contracts while driving a safety culture and continuous organizational improvement. The Sr. Program Manager will collaborate with leadership teams across shared services and site leadership to establish and achieve safety goals, monitor regulatory compliance, and deliver effective safety training programs. This role also supports occupational safety, physical security, environment of care, and safety regulatory compliance, focusing on improving operational safety performance and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. + **Program Sponsorship and Development:** + Serve as the program sponsor for developing, implementing, and scheduling routine risk assessment across Select Medical Inpatient locations in partnership with Worker’s Compensation Brokers and Insurance Carriers. + Leads the creation and updating of the Environment of Care, Occupational Safety, and Physical Security Policy. + **Safety and Compliance Management:** + Manage the vendor contract for fleet vehicle compliance, including adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and state-specific motor vehicle compliance. + Develop, monitor, and report on safety performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. + **Training and Development:** + Prepare and schedule safety training programs covering workplace safety and other relevant topics, ensuring employees are informed of policies and procedures. + Develop and deliver ongoing training awareness programs to increase staff understanding and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. + Coordinate and lead safety training sessions for employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment. + **Collaboration and Leadership:** + Collaborate with site leadership and shared services teams to establish safety goals and objectives that align with organizational priorities. + Build strong relationships with leadership at multiple levels to drive a safety culture, ensuring safety is embedded in everyday operations. + Provide leadership and guidance in investigating and implementing continuous improvement processes to enhance safety performance and reduce risk. + **Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:** + Assist in researching relevant federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant. + Stay current with industry best practices, Joint Commission, DNV, and CARF standards, and adjust safety strategies as needed. + **Communication and Reporting:** + Provide regular updates and clear communication to key stakeholders, including safety performance reports and incident analysis. + Create and distribute communication materials for safety meetings, training initiatives, and informational campaigns to enhance safety awareness. + **Continuous Improvement:** + Analyze complex safety data and metrics to produce actionable insights and recommendations for safety enhancements. + Implement safety frameworks, mitigation strategies, and operational improvements based on data-driven decisions. + **Problem-Solving and Strategic Leadership:** + Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex safety challenges and develop innovative solutions. + Effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure while ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes. **Qualifications** + **Educational requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Hospitality Services, or a related field. + Completion of Joint Commission Environment of Care Base Camp or related experience. + Completion of Joint Commission Life Safety Base Camp or related experience. + **Required Experience** : + Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, with a proven track record of success. + Extensive experience managing complex safety and environmental programs within a large organization. + In-depth knowledge of Joint Commission or DNV, and CARF standards. **Additional Data** Select Medical strives to provide our employees with work-life balance, as we understand that happy employees have both fulfilling careers and fulfilling lives beyond our doors. + An extensive and thorough orientation program. + Develop collaborative relationships with multiple departments on campus + Campus with access to walking trails and beautiful outdoor rest areas. + Paid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Illness Days (EID). + Health, Dental, and Vision insurance; Life insurance; Prescription coverage. + A 401(k) retirement plan with company match. + Short and Long Term Disability. + Personal and Family Medical Leave. **We'd love for you to join our team!** _**Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
