SENIOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
The Senior Project Accountant will serve as the primary Accounting liaison for the project team, customers and vendors. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to project teams and management. Assigned projects and accounting duties will range from moderate to high in complexity. This is an onsite position at our Dallas, TX office.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy 5+ years of Project Accounting/Accounting experience Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills Construction Industry experience Excellent verbal and written communication Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially with Excel Ability to function as an integral team member, working under time constraints and meeting deadlines in a changing environment Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision Embodies personal integrity and keeps confidences Training of one week per month at our corporate headquarters in Roseville, MN for the first few monthsPreferred:

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Review the construction contract requirements for assigned projects Understand the relevant components of the geographic area of the project (i.e. sales/use tax) Monitor customer and subcontractor contract amounts and change orders in CMiC Prepare and reconcile project billings, ensuring all allowable costs are billed in a timely manner Follow up on customer invoices over 45 days and document issues/comments in CMiC Working knowledge of construction industry forms and documents for accounting purposes Code and process subcontractor and supplier invoices timely, verifying approval Review equipment pre-bill reports and work with Project Manager to ensure accuracy Understand what is impacting the project costs and identify anything improperly charged to a project Make sure all project costs are processed timely Prepare/review journal entries as necessary Review non-billable costs with Project Manager to see if any can be billed Collect and track subcontractor lien waivers, for all applicable Tiers Ensure completed projects are closed out timely, following the close documents Prepare monthly account reconciliations Prepare information for internal financial reports Supports development and implementation of accounting systems and processes Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with project teams, customers, subcontractors and suppliers Mentor Project Accountants, contributing to their professional development Be available to lead meetings in the absence of Manager Resource for PM team in all project related questions View every interaction as an opportunity to add value and enhance relationships Additional tasks and responsibilities assigned as neededPhysical Requirements:
