In the role of Senior Project Design Architect, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for creative concepts/solutions for complex architectural projectsMeet directly with the owner/client, analyze project goals, conceive and develop architectural concepts/solutions for those goalsInitiate and create designs and other documentation with responsibility for preparation of presentation drawings, models and narrativesProvide senior design leadership for all disciplines related to overall building designRepresent our firm by participating as a key member of our business development team in marketing to prospective owners/clientsWork with various disciplines throughout all phases to ensure all concepts/solutions accommodate project needs and the owner's programDevelop design solutions that meet both the client’s project goals and HDR’s internal project performance metrics and goalsDirect the activities of other designers and mentor other staff members as needed.Help build and maintain the design culture of the studioPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in ArchitectureA minimum of 10 years design leadership experienceExperience in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, science and research facilitiesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desiredKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio MaxRhino and Grasshopper experiencePreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related fieldA minimum of 10 years experienceRegistered ArchitectExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)Excellent written and communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processDemonstrated graphic presentation skillsStrong knowledge of codes and good planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
